Hasbro gives My Little Pony a refresh | Licensing Industry | News by Licensing.biz

Hasbro is debuting a new-look for its 25 year-old My Little Pony brand this autumn.

Inspired by the new television series on The Hub - My Little Pony Friendship is Magic - the refreshed look will also cover toys, games, other licensed products and social media programmes.

Initial products will include a five-pack character gift set to complement the new animation, along with a book about the series. Nearly 150 licensees are onboard for the brand, with other products due to launch including apparel, publishing, arts and crafts, school supplies and collectibles.

"The My Little Pony brand has grown tremendously since its debut more than 25 years ago," said Valerie Jurries, global SVP of marketing at Hasbro. "We're so proud that what started out as the story of six magical best friends has turned into a whimsical, wonderful community filled with millions of girls from across the globe."
